Chloe is one of the most adorable little 6 month olds I have photographed! We did a few in my studio and then headed to Verdi for some outdoor portraits. I just love so many of these pictures of her! What a beautiful family!

It was so fun to do a session for this wonderful family because they have been apart of our life since my husband and I were kids. The oldest daughter, Bethany, was pregnant with her first baby at the same time I was pregnant with little Emma. Our due dates were the same and her little daughter Lucy arrived just 2 days before my daughter Emma. Lauri’s little girl, Myra, was born just a few weeks ago and is just around three weeks old in the pictures.

Their family is now spread out all over the U.S. but they were spending time together over the 4th of July in Tahoe. We went up as a family and spent the day with them on the beach. We were hoping to do beach pictures but were really unsure if we could do them with the 4th of July crowd. We did a few pictures up at the cabin and then ventured down to the beach. When we got there the beach was empty! We had the whole place to ourselves and were able to get some fun family shots. We had a great time with them and watched some very memorable fireworks.

For Baby Colton’s 1 year session we headed outside to the river in Verdi and did a session with mommy and daddy as well. This is the 3rd session for Colton in his baby package and it is fun to see what a fun little person he is becoming. I took my daughter Rosie with me and she did a great job of drawing out Colton’s smile and laughter. I just adore the picture of his mommy holding him up and giving him a kiss, so precious!!

I was excited to try a new action on these pictures and I love the vintage look they gave the pictures. There are so many “looks” in photography these days and not all of them are for me but I love the look these portraits have. I can think of a few pictures of my own kiddo’s that I would love to give a vintage feeling and put on my own walls!
