Christa and Mike are friends of ours and have already had their precious little girl Leah. I have beautiful pictures of her as a newborn but I thought that it might be good to have the maternity pictures posted before the newborn pictures. We had a great time in downtown Reno walking around and find great spots for portraits. Christa was a beautiful expecting mom and an even more beautiful mom with her baby girl!

I was able to make a trip over to Chico, my hometown, for the shower of one of my dear childhood friends. Lauri is one of the most bubbly, energetic, and sweetest girls I know. After her shower we drove to the orchards for some pictures of her growing tummy. There is a little girl hiding in there!

In a week all of these trees will be covered in the most beautiful almond blossoms. It is one of the sweetest seasons in Chico and I miss it dearly!

I have been working hard on catching up with all things related to my business so that I will have a clear slate when my baby shows up in a few weeks. There are many sessions and a few weddings that I did not post pictures from this summer so I hope over the next few months to blog each one of them. I just recently had my own maternity session done with one of my wedding assistants and I can’t wait to share the images with you!

This maternity session is of Shawn who is a friend of mine. She actually had her baby over a month ago. It was fun to be pregnant with her for the first part of the summer and I am a little envious that she already has her baby here. I did a newborn session of the baby which I will share with you later this week. Adison is Shawn’s very outgoing 3 year old and a proud big sister. She loved being apart of the shoot and the picture of her drawing and laughing is one of my all time favorites! Shawn is one of the most energetic women I know and her house is immaculate. It was a beautiful place to shoot both her maternity session and the newborn session. Congrats Shawn! You are a wonderful mom!
