Earlier this summer we visited our home town of Chico for a week to see family, wake board on a warm lake:-), and to celebrate our daughter Rosie’s 10th birthday. It is a little strange to have one child turn 10 while carrying our 3rd child (due October 26!!). I can remember her birth and that summer so well. We had just been married for a year when she made her entrance into the world. It was the hottest week that summer with temperatures soaring to 110 degrees. As soon as she was born we took her everywhere, to the mountains and the river and she was such a little trooper!
Well she is now 10 and I wonder where the time has gone. It makes me want to cherish every little moment with our newborn because now I know how fast the time goes!
We took Rosie’s best friend Kyra with us to Chico as a treat for Rosie. I wanted to mark Rosie’s 10th birthday as well as celebrate their friendship with a photo shoot. I knew I wanted the golden grass of Chico’s foothills and that most lovely time of day at sunset. These were taken near the cross at Bidwell’s Upper Park. For those of you that don’t know my Rosie she is the one in the brown dress and long pigtails!
