I was very excited to take pictures of this little girl. Her father Jesse is a childhood friend of both my husband and mine’s and was a groomsman in our wedding. Several years ago Jesse found a very sweet girl, Cassidy, to marry and we have been eagerly waiting for a baby from these two! We were very excited to find out about Cassidy’s pregnancy because at the time I was just about 5 months along with our own little girl. It will be so much fun to watch our girls grow up together!

It worked out that we happened to be home in Chico just a few days after Cora was born so I was able to take her pictures when she was only 4 days old. She slept “like a baby” and was a perfect little model! I just love the hair!!

We went home this weekend to Chico for the annual Chico Wildflower Century Bike Ride. My daughter and I rode in the Childflower while my husband and his brother rode the Century. After the ride we had a couple of hours before the guys were to come home so we took the cousins to Bidwell Park for a little portrait session. There were a few tears all the way to the park by one little girl so I wasn’t sure that we were going to get any pictures with a smile but we did! Skylar and Henry don’t have green eyes but it looks like they do because there is so much green being reflected all around them! My sister Erin was able to get a few pictures of me with all my children which rarely happens, since I am behind the camera so much. Aren’t they just the sweetest cousins?!

Christa and Mike are friends of ours and have already had their precious little girl Leah. I have beautiful pictures of her as a newborn but I thought that it might be good to have the maternity pictures posted before the newborn pictures. We had a great time in downtown Reno walking around and find great spots for portraits. Christa was a beautiful expecting mom and an even more beautiful mom with her baby girl!
