I met Lindsey a little over a year ago at a homeschool co-op. She was there looking for friends as she was new to Reno even though she didn’t have any school age kids! We chatted for a little while and from there Lindsey and her husband came into our lives. Funny thing is that Lindsey later realized that I had been a cabin counselor for her at a camp that we both attended years ago!
They were here for graduate school for Sean with the hopes of using his degree to help aid in the quest of clean water in Africa when they go back to be missionary’s. Their time here is coming to an end this weekend as they are headed home to California and they will be missed. Their adorable little girl Anya is so fun and I had the privilege of doing some family pictures for them this week. Anya is two and was so easy to work with. I discovered that I could ask her to giggle for me and she would break out in the adorable grin and laughter! I wish all two year olds were that easy! Here are a few of my favorites from their family session. We love you guys and will be sad to see you go…but excited to see where God leads you as you serve Him.

It was a joy to be able to photograph Kimmy and Michael’s wedding. I am taking a little break from weddings this year but when Kimmy asked I couldn’t say no. I have known her since she was a baby and her big sister is one of my best friends so it was so much fun to be apart of her big day. I had to make a drive to Fresno, California but it was worth it for such a special day. Michael couldn’t be nicer and it was so fun to see how much he adored Kimmy. These two hardly noticed I was taking pictures of them, they were so crazy about each other!
I was a little unsure of what I would be able to capture for them with their wedding taking place in a warehouse church but I am very happy with what we came up with for their outdoor portraits. You would never know that we were in a full parking lot on a busy road! My favorite pictures are of the of the father/daughter dance since I know how much her dad loves his girls. It was a very sweet moment to see him with his little girl on the dance floor. Michael married into a pretty great family!!
It is amazing how time flies so fast after having a baby. Our little Emma turns 6 months old today. My pregnancy seemed to take forever but now the days are just flying by! She has her two bottom teeth and is now sitting up. Before I know it she will be chasing me around the house! Time is going by way to fast.
